About
I am an actor, director and theatremaker based in London. The work I make focuses on collaboration, a sense of fun and experimentation.
I am a core ensemble member of the award-winning Kandinsky Theatre, who are an Associate company of The New Diorama Theatre. I have devised and performed in all their recent works - Still Ill, Dog Show, Trap Street, Dinomania and The Winston Machine. I also regularly collaborate with Rhum and Clay Theatre Company with whom I have co directed The War Of The Worlds which recently went on a UK Tour and played at Stanford University USA and Project Dictator, which played at New Diorama and Edinburgh. This show is about to embark on a UK and Norway tour. The script which Hamish co wrote is about to be published by Bloomsbury,
More recently I have been working with acclaimed comedians to devise and direct their shows, including Jess Robinson, Joseph Morpurgo, Will Andrews, Graham Dickson and Abandoman with great critical success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and beyond with transfers to Southbank Centre & Soho Theatre.
My theatre directing work includes new writing shows for Old Vic New Voices, Kings Head Theatre and Arcola Theatre. I was the Associate Director of the Olivier award-winning Cock Tavern Theatre where I directed the world premiere of a lost Tenessee Williams play.
I originally trained as an actor at National Youth Theatre and Arts Educational School of Acting. I am now an Associate Artist of NYT and continue to deliver workshops for them, at drama schools and other educational institutions.
